The Leadership Lectures at FIU’s Center for Leadership Attracts Corporate Sponsorship.

The buzz around The Leadership Lectures, presented by the Center for Leadership at Florida International University (FIU), has been ongoing! Enough so that Mercantil Commercebank has signed on as corporate sponsors of the series for three years.

People interested in the subject of leadership appreciate the chance to hear first hand from international experts who candidly share their opinions, research and perspective on a variety of up-to-the-minute aspects of leadership.

“This season follows last year’s inaugural Leadership Lecture Series which drew impressive attendance and accolades from the business community,” reports Mayra Beers, Ph.D., Director of Operations for the Center and a Knight Research Fellow. “We are pleased to welcome Mercantil Commerce Bank as the sponsor of this series for the next three years.”

The success and attention The Leadership Lectures as garnered is in no small part due to the impressive line-up of presenters last year, as well as the Center’s ability to attract similar high profile multi-disciplinary, corporate and academic thought leaders to be presenters at these lectures.

The Leadership Lectures 2012-2013 so far include:

Manfred Kets de Vries is the author, co-author, or editor of more than thirty-five books and has published over 350 academic papers. The Financial Times, Le Capital, Wirtschaftswoche, and The Economist have rated this award-winning professor as among the world's top fifty leading management thinkers and one of the most influential contributors to human resource management.
