The research is clear, the best leaders are continually developing self and taking action to develop their skills – big and small. And it’s not only about getting leadership ‘right’, but it’s about becoming a better and more effective leader. This program will prepare you with the skills to drive optimal performance of your team, improve buy-in from key stakeholders, and develop a concrete plan for continued acceleration of your leadership momentum upon returning to work. $2,195 - including program tuition, materials, and some meals.
$1,975 - early registration rate available until August 21, 2024.

Who should attend?

This program is designed for front-line managers with 2-10 years of management experience. Well-qualified participants are responsible for leading a team of individual contributors. Job titles may include assistant/associate directors, senior managers, project managers, or managers.

    The Center for Leadership is a recognized provider of both Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and SHRM, offering Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP® recertification activities. Participants of this program will be eligible to receive CEUs and SHRM-PDCs with participating professional organizations.

  • Day 1 from 8:00am to 5:00pm ET
    • Welcome and Program Introduction
    • Leading self: leverage the totality of who you are and engage in self-reflection
    • Values in leadership: clearly define the role of personal values in leadership to better understand your decision-making process
    • Power and influence: understand the importance of power and influence and how to use both in your leadership position
    • Expanding your reach: identify and explore opportunities to tap into the talents of your team to help you lead more strategically
  • Day 2 from 8:00am to 5:00pm ET
    • Coaching others: provide tactful, well-timed and appropriate developmental feedback
    • Inspiring your employees: build a toolbox of leadership behaviors to purposefully and intentionally influence employee engagement
    • Leading change: gain a fresh perspective on how to lead change for even greater achievements
    • Developing your leadership agenda: craft a personal action plan for implementation upon returning to work
