Who should attend?

This program is designed for mid to senior level leaders, typically at the director or vice president level. Participants have at least ten years of leadership experience and broad responsibilities over teams, operations, and/or other managers.

    The Center for Leadership is a recognized provider of both Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and SHRM, offering Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP® recertification activities. Participants of this program will be eligible to receive CEUs and SHRM-PDCs with participating professional organizations.

  • Day 1 - 1:00pm – 7:00pm ET in Miami, FL
    • Program orientation and introduction 
    • Leveraging your strengths: utilize a strengths-based approach to leadership development and learn to leverage your strengths and work through your weaknesses
    • Welcome dinner
  • Day 2 - 8:00am – 5:00pm ET in Miami, FL
    • Values in leadership: clearly define the role of personal values in leadership to better understand your decision-making process
    • Building relationships and alliances: learn to cultivate meaningful connections, leverage strategic alliances, and navigate professional networks to advance your careers and foster a supportive community for leaders
    • Driving change before it derails: learn a powerful “pre-mortem” technique to identify risks early, uncover hidden assumptions, and boost the success rate of new initiatives
    • Developing healthy workplace cultures: create and foster a healthy work culture for your organization and team, including employee involvement, work-life balance, employee growth and development, health and safety, and employee recognition
  • Day 3 - 8:00am – 5:00pm ET in Miami, FL
    • Six thinking hats: learn to recognize styles, guide more productive discussions, and foster collaboration, creativity and clarity across your team
    • Narratives for clarity and buy-in: develop a playbook for visionary leadership while being authentically you and understand the importance of vision and narratives in creating alignment and engagement at all organizational levels
    • Leadership presence: improve your presence by practicing the skills actors use to have great stage presence and develop techniques to amplify your impact
    • The art of storytelling: learn to use stories and storytelling techniques to make communications and presentations more compelling and influential
    • Developing a realistic action plan for personal growth
  • Executive coaching sessions virtually via Zoom
    • A unique benefit of participating in The High-Impact Executive Program is the opportunity to meet one-on-one with an executive coach. These sessions will allow you to enlist objective feedback from a trained professional on issues or matters of particular concern to you. You may also use these sessions to gain further insight on some of the sessions or tools discussed during the program. 
    • This program includes two coaching sessions scheduled at the participants availability between the in-person and virtual program dates. Each session is 50-minutes long and will be conducted virtually via Zoom.
  • Day 4 - 9:00am – 2:00pm ET virtually via Zoom
    • Leadership roundtable: the opportunity to participate in a roundtable with an industry leader
    • Strategic innovation: learn reliable stratagems to create winning moves for your team (and avoid killing off innovation and intrapreneurship)
  • Day 5 - 9:00am – 2:00pm ET virtually via Zoom
    • Leading your team through crisis: gain practical tools and strategies to lead with clarity and confidence in times of crisis. Learn to respond effectively, maintain team cohesion, and guide your team through uncertainty toward strength and stability. 
    • Program wrap-up and closing
