The dynamic pace of the global environment has important implications for leadership and the way we do business. To better understand the “new” leadership required in the modern world, The Center is constantly engaged in research initiatives to re-examine leadership best practices. These findings inform the content of executive leadership programs and guide the kinds of development opportunities The Center makes available to the community-at-large.
The Center’s research activities include the work of a group of multidisciplinary faculty and graduate students who are actively engaged in leadership research. Through two annual events, The Leadership Research Colloquium and The FIU Alvah H. Chapman Jr. Dissertation Award, The Center highlights the latest and most salient leadership research by colleagues from around the world. This commitment to research and best practices ensures that The Center remains responsive to current leadership needs and is well-equipped to offer practical and lasting solutions for effective leadership.
