David Van Rooy is presently Group Vice President and Chief Talent Officer for Albertsons Companies, which covers 300,000 associates and is the second-largest grocer in the United States. David was previously Vice President, Talent Development for Vail Resorts, and has held leadership roles building global talent programs for Walmart, Marriott, and Burger King Corporation.
He has published over 20 articles and chapters, and his book Trajectory: 7 Career Strategies to Take You From Where You Are to Where You Want to Be was published by the American Management Association and was the #1 Careers bestseller when it was released on Amazon. David was awarded the Distinguished Early Career Contributions Award from the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and Distinguished Alumni Award from Florida International University, where he received his Ph.D. in Psychology. David and his wife currently reside in Broomfield, Colorado with their two daughters.
