The Leadership Lectures feature world-class, accomplished and influential leaders with expertise ranging from business and philanthropy to public service and academic research. Through the Lectures, we hope to inspire thought-provoking dialogue within the community by providing access to the expertise, advice and best practices of some of the world’s foremost leadership minds. As such, the attendance to the lectures are free and open to the public.

How to become a power broker poised to tackle the biggest problems of our time

Throughout her pathbreaking career, Rosabeth Moss Kanter has time and again radically moved the arc of our thinking about leadership, change, and innovation. Drawing on her revolutionary work at the Harvard Advanced Leadership Initiative, she develops a new paradigm for taking on daunting problems such as climate change, social divisiveness, and economic insecurity. “Thinking outside the building” is the leadership skill of the future—and absolutely necessary for breaking through blockages thwarting solutions that can shake up the status quo.

Rosabeth Moss Kanter
Rosabeth Moss Kanter co-founded and, until recently, directed the Harvard University Advanced Leadership Initiative to help people at the top of their fields apply their skills to national and global challenges and build a new leadership force for the world. Dr. Kanter is the Ernest L. Arbuckle Professor at Harvard Business School. Her many influential books include Men and Women of the Corporation, Confidence: How Winning and Losing Streaks Begin and End, The Change Masters, and Move: Putting America’s Infrastructure Back in the Lead.
