Topics and Schedule

The following topics and schedule are subject to change.

  • Day 1 – 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET (In-Person)
    • Welcome and program introduction
    • Women and leadership: discuss current issues in women's leadership
    • Personality and leadership: understand how who you are affects your leadership behaviors
    • Values in leadership: clearly define the role of personal values in leadership to better understand your decision making process
  • Day 2 – 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET (In-Person)
    • Leading through your strengths: utilize a strengths-based approach to leadership development and learn to leverage your strengths and work through your weaknesses
    • Building relationships and alliances: learn to cultivate meaningful connections, leverage strategic alliances, and navigate professional networks to advance your careers and foster a supportive community for women leaders
    • Developing healthy workplace cultures: create and foster a healthy work culture for your organization and team, including employee involvement, work-life balance, employee growth and development, health and safety, and employee recognition
    • Experiential learning activity: work together in a team to accomplish a series of tasks to understand the different ways teams approach decision-making, goal setting, and collaboration
  • Day 3 – 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET (In-Person)
    • Navigating the workplace: explore the complexities of career progression by addressing challenges and strategies for advancement in leadership
    • Leadership presence: improve your presence by practicing the skills actors use to have great stage presence and develop techniques to amplify your impact
    • The art of storytelling: learn to use stories and storytelling techniques to make communications and presentations more compelling and influential
    • Appreciations and lessons learned
    • Program wrap-up
  • Executive Coaching Sessions via Zoom

    A unique benefit of participating in the Women Leaders Program is the opportunity to meet one-on-one with an executive coach. These sessions will allow you to get objective feedback from a trained professional on your specific needs, as well as gain insight on the program’s sessions and tools.

    This program includes two coaching sessions scheduled at your convenience between the in-person and virtual sessions. Each session is 50 minutes and will be conducted virtually via Zoom.

  • Day 4 – 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET, via Zoom
    • Leadership roundtable: the opportunity to participate in a roundtable with an industry women leader
    • Leading through crisis: gain insights, strategies, and practical guidance for navigating challenges, fostering resilience, and inspiring teams to adapt and thrive in times of uncertainty
  • Day 5 – 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET, via Zoom
    • Leading change and innovation: gain a fresh perspective on how to lead change and learn strategic tools to encourage innovative thinking for you and your team
    • Program closing

The Pathways to Leadership Program provides 0.82 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP® recertification activities with participating professional organizations.
