Edgardo Pappacena

Edgardo Pappacena is a global strategist, investor, and educator with a 45‑year career spanning more than 50 countries. He has held executive leadership roles at global, regional, and country levels while advising senior management teams across sectors and geographies.

He has advised executive teams at global and multinational companies in North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia on business strategy, business model innovation, digital transformation, geopolitical risk strategy, organizational and change strategy, and leadership development.  

As PwC’s Global Chief Strategist and later its Business Model Innovation Leader, he led the firm’s global strategic positioning and network alignment, strategic acquisitions, global brand strategy, and geopolitical risk management across 150+ countries. He also led the firm’s business model innovation and transformation strategy, developing digital and global service delivery capabilities and building a 20,000-person team across India, China, Southeast Asia, North and Latin America, and Eastern Europe.  Earlier in his career, he served as Global Leader of the Strategy & Change Practice, Latin America Consulting Leader, and US Business Services Leader.

Currently, as CEO of Cani Investments LLC, he translates macro trends into thematic investments across public securities, alternative assets, and early-stage digital startups. He serves as a board member of private companies and startups and a senior advisor to investment firms.

Mr. Pappacena is an Adjunct Professor of Strategy & International Business at Florida International University’s Graduate School of Business, where he has earned both the Best Professor and Best Course awards for ten consecutive years. Executive audiences consistently rate his seminars—including Thinking Strategically in the Age of Geopolitics, Strategic Thinking in the Digital Era, Business Model Design & Innovation, and Thinking Like a Consultant—as highly relevant to real‑world business challenges. Drawing on his global experience as a business and geopolitical strategist and senior leader, his programs help executives reflect critically about macro trends at the intersection of geopolitics, economics, and technology—connecting the dots across them and assessing their implications for strategy and investment decisions.

Mr. Pappacena holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (Beta Gamma Sigma honors) and a graduate degree in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires (Summa Cum Laude). He has completed advanced specialization programs in strategy, international economics, leadership, and organizational change at Harvard, MIT, University of Chicago, Stanford, and INSEAD (France).
