Andrea Macias is the Senior Program Coordinator for the Center for Leadership (The Center) at Florida International University.
Andrea is responsible for the strategic planning and administration of Center related programs, projects and events. She also evaluates the aforementioned operations and implements procedures and practices to improve efficiency. While programs and events are in session, Andrea manages all logistical details, anticipates and supports participant, client and faculty needs, and ensures all aspects run smoothly.
Andrea joined the The Center as a Program Coordinator in April 2018. In this role, Andrea was responsible for the management and operational oversight of The Center’s open-enrollment and custom programs consisting of faculty support, logistics coordination, fiscal management, and program objectives evaluation.
Prior to joining The Center, Andrea worked for Palazzo Del Sol, Fisher Island as their Event Coordinator. In this role, she planned and executed small to large scale events including intricate product launches and elaborate dinner parties for sophisticated international crowds. She also managed a professional sales team and developed and oversaw an entire water shuttle program from the ground up.
Andrea is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management. She received her Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Florida International University in 2016.
