Lisel Morris has recently returned to The Allen Morris Company (AmCo), a commercial real estate investment and development firm headquartered in Miami, to oversee Investor Relations. Her primary roles are to manage relationships with current and potential investors, and to build and implement capitalization strategies for Allen Morris’ residential development pipeline, the new arm of The Allen Morris Company.
She has spent most of her career in real estate: working for four years with AmCo before earning her Master of Business Administration (MBA), focused on Real Estate Finance & Development from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Lisel then worked as an analyst in Capital Markets for Equity International in Chicago, whose investment strategy focused on real estate operators in emerging markets, before returning to Miami. Lisel began her career working with grass-roots humanitarian projects in South Africa, Egypt, and India that largely focused on orphaned or disadvantaged children.
She is a Fellow of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers (NAREIM) and a Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Leadership Miami alumna. She is also trained as a Forum Moderator for Young President’s Organization (YPO). Lisel assisted in the development of a 7-acre orphanage compound in India, personally fundraising over $350,000 for the orphanage. With a great passion for experiencing foreign cultures, Lisel has visited over 40 countries to date and studied abroad in London and Madrid while pursuing her undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University. Her interests and activities include macro-economic affairs, foreign and adventure travel, health and wellness: particularly nutrition, neuroscience, gardening, and yoga.
